The impeller is overhung on the fan shaft which is supported by two bearings on a strong broad pedestal. To accept the drive the shaft is extended beyond the pedestal. This arrangement is suitable for open or ducted inlet applications. A cooling disc can be fitted to increase the temperature rating to 300C.
